NFR Chairman Howard Milstein Donates $2.3 Million to Sandy First Responders

Monday, November 26th, 2012

Just in time for the holiday season, NFR Chairman Howard P. Milstein announced the donation of approximately $2.3 million directly to first responders, including police officers, firefighters and emergency services personnel, who suffered their own loses when Superstorm Sandy devastated the East Coast in late October 2012. More than 2,000 first responders from affected areas received a $1,000 check through funds donated by Emigrant Bank its owner, Mr. Milstein. The support was timed for the start of the holiday season, in recognition of those who have given so much to their communities despite their own personal losses.
